WASHINGTON, D.C. – "This year, the Ambassadors’ Tour features key destinations in the capital city of Manila; the Queen City of the South, Cebu; and the natural paradise that is Bohol. The Department of Foreign Affairs, Department of Tourism, and Rajah Tours are working together to make sure that participants receive the red-carpet treatment composed of guided tours, world-class accommodations, and topnotch post-tour options," said Ambassador Jose Manuel Romualdez as he opened the Information Session on the 2018 Ambassadors’ Tour at the Philippine Embassy on 20 March 2018.

Now on its 12th year, the Ambassadors’ Tour is a flagship project of all Philippine Foreign Service Posts in the United States that gives Filipinos and Americans in the United States a chance to visit the Philippines, share in its beauty, explore business opportunities, and experience Filipino hospitality in one exciting, fun-filled, and affordable tour package.

The Embassy’s Public Diplomacy Officer, Darell Artates, presented the tour’s detailed itinerary from July 9 to 15, as well as the various packages and rates being offered by partner travel agencies.

“If you are looking for a memorable experience, something that your friends and family have never experienced before, the Philippines is one of those destinations,” Mr. Adriano stressed.

As a bonus for this year’s tour participants, the Embassy’s Economic Section and Philippine Trade and Investment Center, with the support and cooperation of the Philippine Department of Trade and Industry’s Board of Investments and Export Marketing Bureau, offers to arrange an additional two-day post-tour itinerary that will include a briefing on the Philippine economy, economic zones, and investment opportunities, as well as an IT/BPM site or industrial park visit.

“For those of you who follow the Philippines closely, you also know that it is one of the fastest growing economies not only in Asia and the Pacific, but in the entire world,” Embassy Minister for Economic Affairs Jose Victor Chan-Gonzaga highlighted.

Mr. Nelson Garcia of the Washington Intergovernmental Professional Group, one of the participants of last year’s Ambassadors' Tour also shared the stage to give his testimonial and impart his memorable experience as a tour participant.
